The blog is a social commentary that the blogger, Mayang, is taking on as a journal as she journeys as a development professional, a woman, and a single mom in crazy Philippine society. You see, she’s reading a lot of paper, attending a lot of forums and trainings, taking out-of-this world questions from her son, and getting a lot of information from her emails. She needs a blog like this to comment on a daily basis.
By the way, she’s not a snob. She just doesn’t know, yet, how to do the comments thing and all the things that wordpress can do to this blog.

My next critique will be about the failure of progressives to take on the rapacious developers in Metro Manila-and other towns and cities-who are destroying the urban environment. Millions of people-especially the young-face a life of slow death because of the pollution in the urban areas, and the broad left must begin to make the urban environment a site of struggle along with the good work being done in rural areas against destructive mining and logging.
